Carnival Elation
''Carnival Elation'' (formerly ''Elation'') is a operated by Carnival Cruise Line. Built by Kværner Masa-Yards at its Helsinki New Shipyard in Helsinki, Finland, she was floated out on January 4, 1998, and christened as ''Elation'' by Shari Arison Dorsman. During 2007, in common with all of her ''Fantasy''-class sisters, she had the prefix ''Carnival'' added to her name. She currently sails year round on four- and five-day cruises to the Western Caribbean (including the ports of Progreso and Cozumel, Mexico) out of New Orleans, US. ==Layout== The Elation is 70,367 ton ship and is 855 feet long. It has a guest capacity of 2052 and a on-board crew of 920.〔http://www.carnival.com/cruise-ships/carnival-elation.aspx〕 ''Elation'' has been retrofitted with part of, but not all the Carnival "Evolutions of Fun" upgrades. The adults-only Serenity area has been installed, but not the WaterWorks water park. She also has only 28 balconies installed, all of these on the sixth deck.
